Not Inherited Collection

NOT INHERITED considers value not as inheritance, but as something renegotiated.

NOT INHERITED explores the idea of restoring value to what has been rendered obsolete by the fashion industry. The collection is rooted in a personal archive of fur coats inherited from the designer’s grandmother - garments that once represented luxury and craftsmanship, but have since lost their economic worth. Rather than discarding them, the collection transforms these materials into new forms, assigning them a renewed meaning.

Influenced by the Japanese kimono and its contrast with the modern business suit, the collection brings together traditions of permanence and handcraft with symbols of contemporary capitalism and efficiency. Natural materials such as cotton, silk, and virgin wool are enhanced through hand-stitching and hand-painting, making each piece unique. NOT INHERITED questions how value is defined, lost, and reclaimed in fashion today.
